Mallrats

I went to the mall twice this past weekend. It was very strange. The last time I'd been to a mall was during our road trip to NC on Labor Day weekend; and that was simply to get lunch (and give Bit somewhere to play). I can't remember the last time I went to one to shop.

I knew I needed some new pants. I really need jeans, but I didn't find any that fit. The ones I own are getting too big, sadly. I also found a new winter coat since my old one is too big as well. I didn't buy anything the first day, though. I got cold feet. Bit rode a train ($3 for her and N to ride) and had a blast!

I can see the appeal of the mall to families, but it's a culture I want nothing to do with. I hate spending money.

I went back the second day and tried on a ton of clothes. Came away about $210 poorer with a new coat, 2 pairs of pants, a sweater, a cami, a long-sleeved tee, and 2 new throws for the living room (in a better color than our current ones)--they were on sale! (As was the coat and virtually everything else...)

See? Insidious!
