A picture is worth...

Most people I know, especially those with kids, have photo clutter. I have a master plan:

  1. Get all my old photos scanned, including childhood pics of me and my hubby
  2. Upload said photos to Photoworks, as an online archive and...
  3. Create photobooks covering those years of old hard copy photos (FINALLY photo "albums" I can easily arrange and enjoy)
But what about life after the master plan? My new "vest friend" (virtual best friend) SimpleMom had a post on that very subject: Simple Ways to Store Photos.

Here are her simple steps:

  1. download photos from the camera to the computer
  2. upload some of the good ones to Flickr (in my case, Photoworks)
  3. burn all the photos each month to a CD or DVD (not sure I can handle doing it monthly, but I create several backups a year, plus get the year in photos CD from Photoworks)
  4. occasionally print one for framing (sounds prudent)
  5. make a photo book annually (that's the plan!)
